Spookfest has arrived at the Trafford Centre with children's rides, a hay bale maze and more.

The event is running daily at the site outside The Orient from now until Halloween and there's lots to keep families entertained.

We visited the attraction on Sunday to see what the place has in store and gave readers a tour with our Facebook live video here, with a second one taking you on a ride of the ghost train Terror Towers.

And for thrill seekers there are even more rides than were at the Trafford Centre's Summer Social event, including the Jump N Smile, the Scream Coaster - which spins you round like a waltzer while riding a roller coaster at the same time - and the Rock Rage, which sends you upside down several times and it's definitely not one for the faint-hearted.

There's an entrance fee of £3.50 - £3 if you pay in advance online - which includes the hay bale maze, where you might find some spooky characters lurking.Rides operate via a token system, costing between two to five tokens. Each token costs a pound, or if you book online you can get 25 tokens for the price of 20. As well as the 'frightful' selection of rides - available daily from now until October 31 - there's hook a pumpkin, with 'spine-chilling show dances' promised over Halloween weekend.

A range of food and drink is available, with the food stall at the centre of the rides selling drinks and slushes from £2.50 and the likes of burgers and hot dogs from £3.50.

Families can also enjoy a trip to the circus as the Halloween Spooktacular Big Top Show from Gandeys Circus - the creators of Cirque Surreal and the Chinese State Circus - is also running on the site, with tickets from £9.99.

The Trafford Centre's Trick or Treat trail returns on October 28, where little ones are invited to pick up their free, Halloween bucket from the customer service desk and scour shops and restaurants across the centre for treats.

And it's also hosting its own competition to give four people the chance to win a Halloween sleepover inside the shopping centre itself.

Opening hours from now until Friday are 2pm to 8pm. Then from Saturday, October 23 to Halloween, it's open 11am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 11am to 9pm Saturday and 12pm to 9pm Sunday.

Visitors don’t need to pay an entry fee to access the circus or dine at one of the food vendors.
