Preston is on course of becoming the best city to live in, in North West England.
In PwC’s rankings of The Good Growth for Cities Index, Preston was recognized as being the highest performing city in the north-west. The ranking is based on indicators that the public believe are the most critical. The index measures the performance of the cities based on jobs, health, housing, income, skills, transport, income distribution, work-life balance, the environment, business start-ups, as well as the city’s economic resilience during Covid-19.
Preston beat the likes of Manchester and Liverpool due to its outstanding performance in work-life balance, house price to earnings, environment, jobs and economic recovery.
